Step-by-Step Lip Gloss Recipes
The first thing to do is take a sauce pot, fill it halfway with water, and get the water started boiling. Once the water is boiling, turn the heat down until it simmers. Place a ceramic bowl or melting pot over the top the pot to hold your beeswax. This is the same method you would use to melt chocolate as well.

Place the beeswax into the bowl, and wait a few minutes for it to melt down completely. Then, add your essential oils and stir well. Remove from the heat as soon as these two ingredients are thoroughly mixed and melted.
Once off the heat, it is time to add your coloring. It is best to start adding small amounts at a time, slowly mixing it in until you get a color you like.
Once you've done this, it is time to add your flavoring to the lip gloss recipe. When you think you've added enough, mix it up well and let the lip gloss cool until you can put a little on your lips without getting burnt. Smell check and taste check your concoction and add anything that may be lacking.
Once everything smells and tastes great, pour it into your containers! You may have to melt it down again to get it to pour properly.
Slowly spoon the concoction into either some lip gloss tubes or into a mini glass pot and seal.
Then, put them in the fridge until they solidify. Congrats, you've just made your own cosmetics!
